Becky Turner
Chair
Becky is a newer resident to Charlottesville and loving every bit of it. She has been around tools her entire life and stays busy with home repairs and renovations, as well as gardening. She previously worked in the academic cancer clinical trials operations.
Melissa Goldman
Vice Chair
Melissa is the Fabrication Lab Manager for the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia. She has a love for building at all scales, and has a background in architecture, digital and robotic fabrication, and set and puppet design.
Kathy Kildea
Treasurer
Kathy is one of the founding members of the Cville TimeBank, and was instrumental in establishing the Repair Café program in Charlottesville. She’s an avid cook and gardener, a serial entrepreneur, and has a background in administration and marketing.

Board Member
Taylor recently moved to Charlottesville after three decades working in the field of alternative education in Philadelphia. She likes to make things happen, and was raised in a house full of tools.
MJ Lightbody
Board Member
MJ works as an ASL Interpreter in the school systems. She enjoys working on the computer and working on the “library” side of things at the Tool Library- checking tools in and out. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people!
Erika Rydergaard
Board Member
Erika is an advocate for better relations between humans and the environment. She is busy gardening, studying modern and ancient languages, and fixing things around the house.
Tom Saunders
Board Member
Tom is a designer and builder at heart. A software engineer who swaps code for sawdust in his free time. He enjoys tackling complex ideas and brings a curious, analytical mindset to his work with the tool library.
Kate Scales
Board Member
Kate Scales is an outpatient therapist with LifeWorks Professional Counseling. She lives in Albemarle with her husband and two teenage daughters and loves to learn about how things work.
